Due to the rise in the price of silver, the above-mentioned issues have been postponed.

As a result of the sharp rise in the price of silver, the material value of the German 20-euro and 25-euro silver coins is now significantly higher than their respective face values. Under these circumstances, it is not possible to reissue the corresponding coins. Therefore, both the 25-euro collector coin “Three Kings” (original issue date: November 20, 2025) and the 20-euro collector coin “125 Years of the Wuppertal Suspension Railway” (original issue date: January 22, 2026) will not be issued on the planned dates.

Options for issuing the coins at a later date – with adjusted parameters if necessary – are currently being examined. The Federal Ministry of Finance will inform the public of the outcome in due course.
