National accounts provide a quantitative description of the economic activity of a regional unit over a specific period of time.

Financial accounts
The financial accounts supplement traditional economic statistics by tracking the cash flows of an economy. They provide a precise picture of which sectors raise or provide capital and what financial instruments (such as loans or stocks) are used in the process.
