Im Dezember 2011 wies die saisonbereinigte Leistungsbilanz des Euro-Währungsgebiets einen Überschuss von 2,0 Mrd € auf. In der Kapitalbilanz waren bei den Direktinvestitionen und Wertpapieranlagen zusammengenommen Nettokapitalzuflüsse in Höhe von 3 Mrd € (nicht saisonbereinigt) zu verzeichnen.
