Im August 2014 wies die saisonbereinigte Leistungsbilanz des Euro-Währungsgebiets einen Überschuss von 18,9 Mrd € auf. In der Kapitalbilanz waren bei den Direktinvestitionen und Wertpapieranlagen zusammengenommen Nettokapitalabflüsse in Höhe von 19 Mrd € (nicht saisonbereinigt) zu verzeichnen.
