The October 2015 Monthly Report describes German households' saving and investment behaviour in the low-interest-rate environment and outlines the development of and outlook for government spending on personnel.

The Bundesbank posted a profit of €1.0 billion for the 2016 financial year, compared with €3.2 billion in 2015. Owing to an allocation to the reserves, the remaining distributable profit amounted to €0.4 billion and was transferred in full today to the Federal Government pursuant to section 27 number 2 of the Bundesbank Act (Bundesbankgesetz).

The June 2016 edition of the Bundesbank's Monthly Report outlines the prospects for the German economy based on macroeconomic projections for 2016 and 2017, including a look ahead at the year 2018. It also explores how quantitative easing is impacting on the aggregate euro-area economy and comments on the structure and dynamics of vertical integration in manufacturing as reflected in the financial statements of German enterprises.

The July 2020 Monthly Report looks at the German current account surplus through the lens of macroeconomic models and examines the extent to which German households store cash, as well as their reasons for doing so.

On the basis of selected empirical analyses, the September 2019 Monthly Report explains the impact that wages have on prices in Germany and features an analysis of detailed state government budget figures for 2018. In addition, the Monthly Report describes the long-term changes in the unsecured interbank money market and also discusses banks’ profitability in 2018.

The Bundesbank’s April 2020 Monthly Report outlines sectoral portfolio adjustments in the euro area during the low interest rate period. It also features an article on the road so far and the road ahead for the EU budget and its financing.
