The Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS) has released its latest report, entitled “Adapting central bank operations to a hotter world”, which outlines specific options available to central banks to factor climate-related risks into their monetary policy operations. Bundesbank Executive Board member Sabine Mauderer called the report a milestone.

Every four years, the Executive Board of the Bundesbank adopts a new strategy. Here you will find the principles of Strategy 2024 as well as the Bank's mission statement, which serves as a long-term orientation framework and forms the basis for the medium-term strategy.

Gebühren für 2020 in Höhe von 514,3 Mio € ergeben sich aus tatsächlichen Ausgaben von 535,3 Mio € abzüglich des Überschusses aus 2019 und anderer Anpassungen. Neupriorisierung von Aufgaben infolge der Covid-19-Pandemie bei weitgehend gleichbleibenden Kosten gegenüber 2019. Nach Umstellung auf nachträgliche Inrechnungstellung zahlen Banken die Gebühren erst im zweiten Quartal 2021.

Die Leistungsbilanz wies im Januar 2021 einen Überschuss von 30 Mrd € auf (nach 37 Mrd € im Vormonat).
