Laut der Umfrage zum Kreditgeschäft im Euro-Währungsgebiet vom Januar 2022 wurden die Kreditrichtlinien (d. h. die internen Richtlinien oder Kriterien einer Bank für die Kreditgewährung) für Unternehmenskredite (inklusive Kreditlinien) im vierten Quartal 2021 minimal verschärft.

Finanzplätze positionieren sich weltweit zunehmend als globale, umfassende Finanzdienstleistungs­zentren. Umso wichtiger ist es, das Ziel eines starken, integrierten und wettbewerbsfähigen gesamteuropäischen Finanzmarktes zu verfolgen.

Die Bundesbank hat im Jahr 2021 rund 42.000 falsche Euro-Banknoten im Nennwert von 1,9 Millionen Euro registriert. Das entspricht einem Rückgang von 28,6 Prozent gegenüber dem Vorjahr. Der Rückgang sei auf die verminderten Absatzmöglichkeiten für die Hersteller und Verbreiter von Falschgeld zurückzuführen, erläuterte Bundesbankvorstand Johannes Beermann.

Die Einführung der Mark als gemeinsames Zahlungsmittel war alles andere als einfach, hatten doch alle deutschen Klein- und Kleinststaaten ihr eigenes Münzsystem. Sie stärkte aber das Gemeinschaftsgefühl zwischen Nord und Süd.

In 2021, the Bundesbank registered approximately 42,000 counterfeit euro banknotes with a nominal value of €1.9 million in German payments. The number of counterfeits thus fell by 28.6% on the year, and the nominal value of the banknotes seized decreased by 34.5%. 

The latest issue of the Monthly Report explains how risks stemming from climate change and climate policy can affect economic developments in Europe. It describes how, alongside the impact of extreme weather events and gradually rising temperatures, it is notably the macroeconomic repercussions of climate policy that are likely to become significant in the near future. This poses additional challenges to macroeconomic analysis, which is key to monetary policy decision-making. With that in mind, the Bundesbank is adapting its analytical toolkit.

At first the euro was mistrusted, with many calling it the “teuro” (“expensive euro”). Around 20 years ago, 70% of the participants in a survey by the Institut für Demoskopie responded that they had “little or no trust” in the euro, which had been introduced in cash form on 1 January 2002. Today, 82% of Germans support the euro. The Bundesbank played a key role in the introduction of euro cash in January 2002.
