The January 2014 edition of the Monthly Report analyses in several essays the reform measures taken by the economic and monetary union member states in the course of the current adjustment processes.

The December 2013 Monthly Report comments on the outlook for the German economy as macroeconomic projections for 2014 and 2015. In addition, an analysis of the German enterprises’ profitability and financing in 2012 is included; furthermore an outlook for European retail payments (SEPA) is described and the new importance of repo markets in a changing financial system is reconsidered.

The November 2013 Monthly Report comments on the economic situation in Germany in autumn 2013.

Low interest rates and an ample supply of central bank liquidity have helped to ease the tensions on the international financial markets. So far this year, the German financial system has also benefited from this situation. However, the Bundesbank believes that these exceptional financial conditions present risks to financial stability the longer they prevail.

The October 2013 edition of the Monthly Report discusses the recent rises in house prices in Germany and looks at macroeconomic approaches to assessing price competitiveness. It also contains an article on "International cooperation in the area of financial sector policy – the Financial Stability Board (FSB)".

The September 2013 Monthly Report explains the performance of German credit institutions in 2012 and the development of government interest expenditure in Germany. In addition, a workshop report to predictive models in the short-term economic analysis is included.

The Monthly Report July 2013 examines the background and framework for the introduction of the common European Banking Supervisors, explains the problem of the estimates of yield curve in the financial crisis and analyzes the differences in monetary and credit growth in the euro area.
