Internship Monetary Policy and Analysis
Our Monetary Policy and Analysis Division is currently looking for a motivated and suitably qualified student to take up a paid internship.
What we have to offer
- As an intern, you will support our Monetary Analysis Team in developing methods for analysing monetary policy transmission via the banking sector.
- You will work quantitatively and apply your coding skills in order to visualise and analyse various micro and macro datasets on banks, loans and borrowers.
- You will help our team automate processes and deal with monetary policy issues using micro- and macroeconometric as well as statistical methods.
- You will be given the opportunity to apply and improve your methodological skills.
- In addition, you will assist your colleagues in the business unit with their day-to-day tasks.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s graduates in the gap year, Master’s or PhD students in economics, (business) mathematics, statistics or comparable
- Practical experience in handling large and complex data sets
- Experience in programming in Python; knowledge of Matlab would be considered as an asset
- High interest in current issues in the area of monetary policy, banks and financial markets
- High level of self-motivation as well as ability to work in a team
- Very good command of written and spoken German or English
