The Deutsche Bundesbank manages the monetary policy pools and the counterparty pools (collateral accounts) required for the TARGET contingency case in ECMS. Deposits and accounts (other collateral pools) that are used for the collateralisation of other transactions are initially managed by the Deutsche Bundesbank in its local collateral management system. These will also be transferred to ECMS at a later date.
