The Deutsche Bundesbank hosted its seventh International Cash Conference in Hannover, Germany, from 27 to 29 May 2026.

Experts from academia, public authorities (including central banks), special interest groups and the private sector were invited to present their cash-related research papers. The programme was headed by high-level keynote speakers.

The event commenced with a welcome reception on the evening of 26 May 2026, and will continue from 27 to 29 May 2026 with lectures and discussions.

The conference was held in English; all papers are thus be available in English only. Conference participation was free of charge. We do not intend to publish the papers in a conference volume after the conference.
