Die Jahreswachstumsrate der weit gefassten Geldmenge M3 lag im September 2023 bei -1,2 % nach -1,3 % im August. Im Dreimonatsdurchschnitt bis September betrug sie -1,0 %. 

Seit August dieses Jahres ist Sebastian Geiger der neue Repräsentant der Bundesbank in der Türkei. Er übernahm das Amt als Vertreter der Bundesbank am deutschen Generalkonsulat in Istanbul von seinem Vorgänger Mark Zanger und beobachtet und analysiert seitdem für die Bundesbank die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung der Türkei im Allgemeinen und die Geldpolitik der türkischen Notenbank im Besonderen.

The Council of the European Union has appointed Claudia Buch as Chair of the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM) of the European Central Bank (ECB). “I would like to thank the Council of the European Union for my appointment as Chair of the Supervisory Board and for the trust placed in me.  It will be a great honour for me to take on this role at the European Central Bank, Ms Buch said. During her term of office, she will work to ensure a resilient European banking sector that serves the people of Europe.
