The branches of the Bundesbank supply the economy with euro banknotes and coins, and offers private customers the opportunity to exchange D-Mark banknotes and coins free-of-charge and with no fixed deadline.

At a joint Bundesbank-SUERF conference, Bundesbank President Joachim Nagel and Executive Board member Fritzi Köhler-Geib talked with experts about how AI is reshaping central banking.

How do you actually become First Deputy Governor? How does the Bundesbank use artificial intelligence and what is its position on crypto-assets? Around 100 school pupils from all over Germany posed these and many other questions to the Bundesbank’s First Deputy Governor Sabine Mauderer at the Bundesbank’s Pupils’ Day. They all travelled to Frankfurt to learn about the Bundesbank’s work and its Executive Board. Overall, pupils from around 30 schools applied to attend this year’s event.

Im Oktober 2025 lag das Emissionsvolumen am deutschen Rentenmarkt mit einem Bruttoabsatz von 127,3 Mrd € unter dem Vormonat (139,3 Mrd €). Nach Abzug der im Vergleich zum Vormonat niedrigeren Tilgungen und unter Berücksichtigung der Eigenbestandsveränderungen der Emittenten wurden inländische Schuldverschreibungen für netto 19,1 Mrd € begeben. 

EZB wird 110 direkt beaufsichtigte Banken in Bezug auf deren Management geopolitischer Risiken bewerten. Banken müssen Szenario definieren, das zu einem vorab festgelegten Ergebnis – einem Rückgang der CET1-Quote um mindestens 300 Basispunkte – führen würde. Veröffentlichung der aggregierten Ergebnisse im Sommer 2026.
