Die aggregierten Kapitalquotenbedeutender Institute stiegen im zweiten Quartal 2024 leicht an. In aggregierter Betrachtung beliefen sich die harte Kernkapitalquote (CET1-Quote) auf 15,81 %, die Kernkapitalquote (Tier 1‑Quote) auf 17,21 % und die Gesamtkapitalquote auf 19,90 %.

Cash remains the most frequently used means of payment at the point of sale in Germany. This is one of the findings of the Bundesbank’s latest study on payment behaviour in Germany for 2023. However, card and mobile payments are gaining significant ground, while the share of cash payments is declining. Although this decline is no longer as pronounced as during the coronavirus pandemic, the share of cash payments is falling faster than in previous years,” said Executive Board member Burkhard Balz.

Das reale Bruttoinlandsprodukt (BIP) könnte aus heutiger Sicht im dritten Quartal stagnieren oder erneut etwas zurückgehen. Eine Rezession im Sinne eines deutlichen, breit angelegten und länger anhaltenden Rückgangs der Wirtschaftsleistung erwarten die Autorinnen und Autoren des Berichts derzeit aber nicht.

Die Leistungsbilanz wies im Juli 2024 einen Überschuss von 40 Mrd. € auf (nach
51 Mrd. € im Vormonat).
