Der gewichtete Indikator der Kreditfinanzierungskosten für neue Kredite an Unternehmen stieg infolge des Zinseffekts um 17 Basispunkte auf 5,26 %; der entsprechende Indikator für neue Wohnungsbaukredite an private Haushalte blieb mit 3,91 % weitgehend unverändert. 

Am 2. November 2023 genehmigte der EZB-Rat die Zulassung der Scope Ratings GmbH als externe Ratingagentur für die im Rahmenwerk für Bonitätsbeurteilungen im Eurosystem beschriebenen Zwecke.

The ECB Governing Council has selected “European culture” and “Rivers and birds” as potential themes for future euro banknotes. This decision was influenced by a wide-ranging survey: all Europeans had the opportunity to vote on potential themes for the new euro banknotes in the summer of this year. A decision on the final design of the new banknotes is expected in 2026.

Der EZB-Rat entscheidet voraussichtlich 2026 über die endgültigen Designs sowie den Zeitplan für Herstellung und Ausgabe der neuen Banknoten.

Die Unternehmen im Euroraum teilten mit, dass ihre Umsätze weiter gestiegen seien. Zugleich wirkten sich höhere Arbeits-, Produktions- und zinsbezogene Kosten nachteilig auf ihre Ertragslage aus. Der Umsatz dürfte sich den Erwartungen zufolge in den kommenden sechs Monaten abermals erhöhen.

On 24 and 25 November, the Bundesbank held its fifth Euro20+ event in Frankfurt am Main, inviting young people between the ages of 18 and 30 to discuss key economic policy and social issues with ECB President Christine Lagarde and Bundesbank President Joachim Nagel, amongst other guests.

The current good earnings situation is enabling institutions to further strengthen their capital base and thus their resilience to adverse developments,said Claudia Buch, Vice-President of the Deutsche Bundesbank, at the presentation of the 2023 Financial Stability Review. Even in adverse scenarios, financial institutions should have sufficient levels of capital and liquidity to be able to absorb shocks on their own. Resilience, noted Vice-President Buch, would also require investment in IT infrastructure in order to be equipped to deal with cyber risks.

The macroeconomic environment is being shaped by the interest rate reversal and heightened uncertainty. So far, the German financial system has coped well with the rise in interest rates over the last year, but the effects of this rise have not yet fully materialised. Structural change in the economy is also likely to further increase credit risk.

Die Europäische Zentralbank (EZB) hat heute ihren Finanzstabilitätsbericht vom November 2023 veröffentlicht. Dem Bericht zufolge sind die Aussichten für die Finanzstabilität im Euroraum nach wie vor fragil, da die restriktiveren Finanzierungsbedingungen in einem Umfeld schwachen Wachstums, hoher Inflation und erhöhter geopolitischer Spannungen zunehmend auf die Realwirtschaft durchwirken.
