Die Summe der Aktiva der Kreditinstitute mit Sitz in der EU verringerte sich im Vorjahrsvergleich um 2,8 % von 34 009 Mrd € im September 2016 auf 33 043 Mrd € im September 2017. Die Quote notleidender Kredite (NPL-Quote) dieser Kreditinstitute ging im Vergleich zum Vorjahr um 1,14 Prozentpunkte zurück (von 5,58 % im September 2016 auf 4,44 % im September 2017).
