Im Schülerbuch „Geld und Geldpolitik“ wird unterstellt, dass bei der Kreditvergabe einer Bank generell neues, die Geldmenge erhöhendes Buchgeld geschaffen werde. Ist das zwingend? Kann die Bank nicht auch altes, schon früher geschaffenes Geld, z. B. Spareinlagen, weiterreichen, wodurch die volkswirtschaftliche Geldmenge nicht erhöht wird? Die Refinanzierung durch Spareinlagen ist doch gängige Praxis der Banken.
