Die Bundesbank hat im Jahr 2015 mehr falsche Euro-Banknoten sichergestellt. Gegenüber dem Vorjahr stieg die Zahl der Fälschungen um 51 %. Verglichen mit dem Umlauf an Bargeld in Deutschland bleibt das Falschgeldaufkommen aber weiterhin auf einem niedrigen Niveau. Besonders häufig wurden 20- und 50-Euro-Scheine gefälscht.
