The Bundesbank’s October 2019 Monthly Report reviews and analyses the market for sustainable financial investments, as well as studying the European investment funds market and the role of bond funds in the low interest rate environment. Furthermore, it describes the long-term outlook for the statutory pension insurance scheme and explains structural reforms in the euro area.

The January 2019 edition of the Bundesbank’s Monthly Report looks into how a normalisation of interest rates will impact on balance sheets in the euro area’s private non-financial sector and explores price competitiveness in a number of euro area countries in terms of the development, drivers and influence of labour market reforms. The Report also features an analysis of financial cycles in the euro area and sheds light on International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) 9 from a banking supervision angle.

The March 2014 edition of the Monthly Report describes the shadow banking system in the euro area and its monetary policy implications. In addition, the German balance of payments in 2013 is reconsidered and it comments on the vulnerability to crises of the manufacturing enterprises in Germany.

The September 2014 edition of the Monthly Report discusses general trends and changes in the ownership structure in the German equity market that occurred during the financial crisis and also contains an article on the reform of federal financial relationships. A further article analyses the performance of German credit institutions in 2013.

The October 2013 edition of the Monthly Report discusses the recent rises in house prices in Germany and looks at macroeconomic approaches to assessing price competitiveness. It also contains an article on "International cooperation in the area of financial sector policy – the Financial Stability Board (FSB)".
