Der EZB-Rat, in dem der Präsident der Deutschen Bundesbank als unabhängiger Vertreter Deutschlands Sitz und Stimme hat, trifft diese Entscheidungen traditionell auf der ersten Sitzung eines Monats.

Through its range of services in the area of economic education, the Deutsche Bundesbank aims to impart basic knowledge about economics in the areas of money, currency and central banking. This knowledge is essential if everyone is to understand money and its function and thus to develop an awareness of the importance of a stable currency and the work required in this respect. For this purpose, the Bundesbank offers teaching materials in German for pupils in primary school through to upper secondary school free of charge.
