General On 15 December 2015, the currency name was changed from Nuevo Sol (PEN) to Sol (PEN).
Methodology * Euro exchange rates were reported for the first time in 2002. The previously quoted rates were calculated using US dollar exchange rates (buying and selling) in Peru in conjunction with the respective euro reference exchange rate of the European Central Bank for the US dollar.
