General On 1 January 1993, Czechoslovakia was dissolved into the successor states Czechia and Slovakia. A currency conversion took place with effect from 8 February 1993. The former currency, the Czechoslovak koruna (CSK) was replaced by the Slovak koruna (SKK) at the rate of 1:1. Accession to the European Monetary Union on 1 January 2009; irrevocable euro conversion rate: EUR 1 = SKK 30.1260.

Comment on 1993-07 With effect from 10 July 1993, the exchange rates were adjusted more sharply. We recorded the following exchange rates (buying/selling rate). 9 July 1993: USD 1 = SKK 29.478 / 29.774 10 July 1993: USD 1 = SKK 32.897 / 33.227 On the basis of these exchange rates, the Slovak koruna depreciated by 10.4%.
