With effect from 9 January 1985, the pula was devalued. The most recent exchange rates (buying/selling rate) before and after the devaluation which were known to us were: 9 January 1985: BWP 1 = DEM 1.9678 / 1.9628 10 January 1985: BWP 1 = DEM 1.6768 / 1.6726 On the basis of the above-mentioned rates, the pula depreciated by 14.8%. |

With effect from 7 May 1982, the pula was devalued. We recorded the following exchange rates (buying/selling rate): before the devaluation: BWP 1 = DEM 2.4801 / 2.4739 after the devaluation: BWP 1 = DEM 2.2258 / 2.2202 On the basis of the above-mentioned rates, the pula depreciated by 10.3%. |
