General The Yugoslav new dinar (YUM) was introduced as a new lawful currency alongside the Yugoslav dinar (YUN) with effect from 24 January 1994. It was the sole legal tender as of 22 July 1994. We recorded the following rates of the Yugoslav new dinar relative to the Yugoslav dinar: 24 January 1994: 1 Yugoslav new dinar (YUM) = 13 000 000 Yugoslav dinar (YUN) From 26 January until 21 July 1994: 1 Yugoslav new dinar (YUM) = 12 000 000 Yugoslav dinar (YUN) Listed against the euro as of January 1999, see BBEX3:M:YUM:EUR:CA:AC:A01.

Comment on 1998-04 On 1 April 1998, the Yugoslav new dinar was devalued. We recorded the following exchange rates (buying/selling): 31 March 1998: DEM 1 = YUM 3.2900/3.3100 1 April 1998: DEM 1 = YUM 5.9819/6.0182 Calculated devaluation: 45.0%.
