Marcus Haas Senior Advisor for Banking Supervision

Marcus joined the Centre for International Central Bank Dialogue (CIC) in 2019 as advisor for banking supervision. At the CIC, Marcus is responsible for all bilateral activities and international courses on banking supervision, including “Introduction to the Basel III Framework”, “Banking Supervisory Stress Testing”, “Sustainable and Green Finance” and “Supervisory Reporting and Data Aggregation”.

He started his career at the Deutsche Bundesbank in 2005. For 14 years, he worked in various positions in the area of banking supervision, covering both policy and on-site topics.

Marcus studied mathematics and finance at the University of Darmstadt, Germany. Before starting at the Deutsche Bundesbank, he worked as a researcher at Frankfurt’s Goethe University and the Center for Advanced European Studies and Research (caesar).
