HR Issues in a changing world In cooperation with the Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB) and the Joint Vienna Institute (JVI)
Objective
Employees are the most important asset of any organisation, hence efficient management of human resources is critical to providing an employee-oriented and productive work environment. This one-week course addresses a broad range of HR management aspects at the Deutsche Bundesbank and the Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB), and aims to provide a platform for peer-to-peer exchange. Topics include HR strategy, resources planning and corporate culture, as well as organisational and legal issues. A strong focus will be placed on HR instruments such as recruitment, training, staff development, career planning, the appraisal system, employee feedback, performance assessment, bonuses, promotion, personnel marketing and job evaluation.
The course will include a mix of presentations, practical exercises and working groups. Participants are expected to take an active part in the discussions, drawing on their own experience.
Target group
Staff from HR units of central banks. Participants should have sound knowledge of the systems and procedures used in their respective institutions to manage HR issues.
