Two Research Assistants (m/f/d) – Financial Stability / Empirical Macroeconomics part-time (50%)
Valuable work: your role with us
- Support the academic work of your colleagues in the fields of financial stability and empirical macroeconomics and assist the management of the Research Centre in policy consultation.
- Use your expertise to contribute to theoretical studies or empirical macroeconomic analyses carried out by leading international researchers.
- Contribute to the Bundesbank’s opinion-forming and decision-making process as part of an international team.
- Make use of excellent IT facilities and first-class data resources.
Unique assets: your skills and qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent in a field relevant to the position (e.g. economics, finance, or mathematics); ideally enrolled in or pursuing a PhD/doctorate programme in economics or finance
- Good knowledge of mathematical-statistical applications (e.g. MATLAB, R, Stata); ideally experience in using additional programming languages (e.g. Julia, Python, Fortran)
- Experience in working with large datasets (big data), experience with machine learning, large language models and text analysis, as well as good knowledge of data services (e.g. Bloomberg, Datastream, Haver) would be advantageous
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; intercultural skills
- Very good command of English
