From today, the Deutsche Bundesbank has its own channel on the short message service Twitter. In future, www.twitter.com/bundesbank will be used to draw attention to current interviews and speeches by members of our Executive Board, to news about the sovereign debt crisis, to economic forecasts and monthly reports. Every tweet on the channel will link users directly to the relevant page on the Bundesbank’s website. 

“Twitter enables direct communication in real time”, explains Michael Best, Head of the Communications Department at the Bundesbank. “By making use of this additional channel of communication, we aim to provide interested members of the public with another way of keeping up to date with the latest from the Bundesbank.”
