For non-business clients, the Bundesbank offers cash-related services for the settlement of small-scale transactions. However, given that the minimum requirements applicable for transactions effected by business clients do not apply to non-business clients, the range of cash-related services available to these customers is limited.

German households’ financial assets decreased in the first quarter of 2026. At the end of the quarter, they amounted to €9,490 billion and were thus €28 billion lower than at the end of 2025. This was attributable mainly to negative valuation effects. Households’ financial assets grew by €94 billion in net terms. However, this was insufficient to offset valuation losses totalling €122 billion.

The Deutsche Bundesbank holds art exhibitions at its Money Museum. Not only that: works from its art collection are displayed, on loan, in museums or are shown in joint exhibitions with institutions such as the European Central Bank or the National Bank of Belgium.
