Ulm branch
The branches of the Bundesbank supply the economy with euro banknotes and coins, and offers private customers the opportunity to exchange D-Mark banknotes and coins free-of-charge and with no fixed deadline.

Damaged money
The Bundesbank will replace damaged euro and Deutsche Mark banknotes if more than half of the note is presented or it can be proved that the missing (larger) part of the banknote has been destroyed.

2022 – 35 years of the Erasmus programme
At the initiative of the European Commission, a €2 coin with a single national design will be issued by all euro area Member States to mark the 35th anniversary of the Erasmus programme. Against this backdrop, the German government has decided to mint a €2 commemorative coin to mark 35 years of the Erasmus programme, to be put in circulation starting on 1 July 2022.
