Damit soll sichergestellt werden, dass der Risikokontrollrahmen weiterhin die Risikoabsicherung, Konsistenz und Risikoäquivalenz über alle Sicherheitenkategorien hinweg gewährleistet

The total environmental impact per person of a year’s worth of average cash payments in the euro area is very low. According to the ECB study, it is equivalent to driving a standard car for eight kilometres. The Eurosystem is committed to making euro banknotes as environmentally friendly as possible, whilst ensuring cash is widely available and accepted.

The Bundesbank plays a pivotal role in the cash cycle. It issues new banknotes and coins, as well as removing unfit banknotes and coins from circulation.

“Further reform of the debt brake is right and necessary. In its current form, it cannot safeguard sound government finances or the EU rules,” said Bundesbank President Joachim Nagel in an interview with “Der Spiegel”.
