Im Mai 2013 wies die saisonbereinigte Leistungsbilanz des Euro-Währungsgebiets einen Überschuss von 19,6 Mrd € auf. In der Kapitalbilanz waren bei den Direktinvestitionen und Wertpapieranlagen zusammengenommen Nettokapitalzuflüsse in Höhe von 30 Mrd € (nicht saisonbereinigt) zu verzeichnen.
