The Council of the European Union has appointed Claudia Buch as Chair of the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM) of the European Central Bank (ECB). “I would like to thank the Council of the European Union for my appointment as Chair of the Supervisory Board and for the trust placed in me.  It will be a great honour for me to take on this role at the European Central Bank, Ms Buch said. During her term of office, she will work to ensure a resilient European banking sector that serves the people of Europe.

The German government has decided to mint an €11 collectors’ coin entitled “UEFA European Football Championship 2024,” scheduled for issue on 8 May 2024. The coin features one of the world’s most popular major sporting events, the European Football Championship, which will be held in the Federal Republic of Germany in 2024, for the first time since Germany’s reunification.

Protecting the integrity and reputation of the Bundesbank requires constant, joint efforts in order to maintain public trust in the Bundesbank’s performance of its tasks over the long haul.

The German government has decided to mint a €10 collector coin entitled “Federal Agency for Technical Relief”, which is scheduled for issue on 24 April 2025.
