Unter der Voraussetzung, dass die EU-Gesetzgeber die entsprechende Verordnung bis 2026 verabschieden, könnte ein Pilotprojekt bereits Mitte 2027 starten. Die erste Ausgabe des digitalen Euro wäre dann ab 2029 denkbar.
