Im September 2012 wies die saisonbereinigte Leistungsbilanz des Euro-Währungsgebiets einen Überschuss von 0,8 Mrd € auf. In der Kapitalbilanz waren bei den Direktinvestitionen und Wertpapieranlagen zusammengenommen Nettokapitalabflüsse in Höhe von 3,6 Mrd € (nicht saisonbereinigt) zu verzeichnen.
