International Conference on Household Finance
The Research Centre of the Deutsche Bundesbank is organising an International Online Conference on Household Finance on 29-30 April 2021.
The German Panel on Household Finances (PHF) is a panel survey on household finance and wealth in Germany, covering the balance sheet, pension, income, work life and other demographic characteristics of private households living in Germany. The panel survey is conducted by the Research Centre of the Deutsche Bundesbank. Thus far, three waves have been completed: the first in 2010-11, the second in 2014 and the third in 2017. The results of the first waves of our study were published in several Bundesbank Monthly Report articles, reports and papers. The microdata from the first three waves are available for scientific research projects through the Bundesbank’s Research Data and Service Centre. Aside from being a comprehensive survey on household finance in Germany, the PHF is also an integral part of the Household Finance and Consumption Survey (HFCS). This system of wealth surveys collects ex ante harmonised microdata in every country of the euro area.
