Collectively agreed wages rose less in February than in previous months.

Collectively agreed wages increased by +⁠ 1.8 % y-o-y in February 2026, following a rise of 3.8 % in the previous month. In the services sector, they were again raised more significantly, by 2.9 % y-o-y, than in the manufacturing sector, where they fell by 2.1 % due to the negative base effect of a one-off payment in the metal and electrical industry that was paid in January 2025.

Base wages (excluding one-off payments and special payments) increased by +⁠ 3.0 % y-o-y in February, following +⁠ 3.8 % in January.
