Die Europäische Zentralbank (EZB) und der Europäische Ausschuss für Systemrisiken (ESRB) haben heute einen gemeinsamen Bericht über die Auswirkungen des Klimawandels auf das Finanzsystem der Europäischen Union (EU) veröffentlicht. Der Bericht definiert detaillierte Rahmenwerke für den Umgang mit Finanzstabilitätsrisiken. Hierzu werden a) Erkenntnisse zu den wichtigsten Finanzstabilitätsindikatoren mithilfe eines Überwachungsrahmens und zugehörigem Chartbook zusammengetragen, die b) als wesentliche Größen in die Entwicklung einer makroprudenziellen Strategie zur Bewältigung des Klimarisikos einfließen, wobei c) die Perspektive der rein klimabezogenen Risiken um naturbezogene Risiken erweitert wird.

Die Europäische Zentralbank (EZB) leitet heute ein öffentliches Konsultationsverfahren zum Entwurf
einer Neufassung der EZB-Verordnung über die Investmentfondsstatistik ein. Die Verordnung wurde
mit dem Ziel überarbeitet, die Zweckdienlichkeit der Statistiken der EZB weiterhin zu gewährleisten.

The Bundesbank sees the German economy continuing to grow in the coming months, albeit with a time lag. As from the beginning of 2024, the German economy is likely to return to an expansion path and gradually pick up speed, Bundesbank President Joachim Nagel said regarding the current Forecast for Germany.

November 2023 genehmigte der EZB-Rat die Einstellung der Nutzung von kurzfristigen Schuldverschreibungen als Sicherheiten im Rahmen der Leitlinie über zeitlich befristete Maßnahmen in Bezug auf Sicherheiten sowie die Einstellung einiger spezifischer Merkmale aus dem Rahmenwerk für zusätzliche Kreditforderungen (Additional Credit Claims – ACC), wobei beide Komponenten sehr geringe Auswirkungen haben.
