Im September 2013 wies die saisonbereinigte Leistungsbilanz des Euro-Währungsgebiets einen Überschuss von 13,7 Mrd € auf. In der Kapitalbilanz waren bei den Direktinvestitionen und Wertpapieranlagen zusammengenommen Nettokapitalabflüsse in Höhe von 12 Mrd € (nicht saisonbereinigt) zu verzeichnen.

Im Juni 2013 wies die saisonbereinigte Leistungsbilanz des Euro-Währungsgebiets einen Überschuss von 16,9 Mrd € auf. In der Kapitalbilanz waren bei den Direktinvestitionen und Wertpapieranlagen zusammengenommen Nettokapitalzuflüsse in Höhe von 18 Mrd € (nicht saisonbereinigt) zu verzeichnen.

Die Leistungsbilanz des Euro-Währungsgebiets wies in den vier Quartalen bis zum zweiten Vierteljahr 2014 einen Überschuss in Höhe von 207,7 Mrd € (2,1 % des BIP im Euroraum) auf. Für den Auslandsvermögensstatus des Eurogebiets standen am Ende des zweiten Quartals 2014 Nettoverbindlichkeiten in Höhe von 1,2 Billionen € (rund 12 % des BIP) zu Buche.
