In January, 200 youths discussed the future of Europe at Euro20+. On 15 and 16 November, the Bundesbank will once again invite 200 motivated young people to come together to address topics such as the future of Europe, digitalisation, economic challenges and running a sustainable economy.

Dr Sabine Mauderer and Burkhard Balz took up office as members of the Executive Board of the Deutsche Bundesbank on Monday. The Bundesbank's Executive Board has therefore reshuffled its areas of responsibility.

The Deutsche Bundesbank is about to become a partner in joint digital financial innovations developed by central banks from all over the world. Together, the French central bank and the Bundesbank will set up an innovation centre at their locations in Frankfurt am Main and Paris.

Die Deutsche Bundesbank startet am 1. Oktober den „Generation €uro Schülerwettbewerb 2019“. Der Wettbewerb rund um die Themen Geld- und Währungspolitik wendet sich an Jugendliche, die sich für Wirtschaftsthemen interessieren. Schülerinnen und Schüler der Sekundarstufe II im Alter von 16 bis 19 Jahren sind aufgerufen,

On 15 and 16 November, the Bundesbank invited 250 motivated young people to its second Euro20+ event. Under the slogan “Your Europe. Your Future”, the participants came together to discuss key economic and social issues concerning the future of Europe and the euro area.

In Kiel fanden dieses Jahr am 2. und 3. Oktober die zentralen Feierlichkeiten zum Tag der deutschen Einheit statt. 29 Jahre nach der Wiedervereinigung und fast 30 Jahre nach dem Mauerfall kamen fast 500.000 Menschen zu einem großen Bürgerfest in die nördlichste Landeshauptstadt.
