The German Panel on Household Finances (PHF) is a panel survey on household finance and wealth in Germany, covering the balance sheet, pension, income, work life and other demographic characteristics of private households living in Germany. The panel survey is conducted by the Research Centre of the Deutsche Bundesbank.

Pursuant to ESA 2010, the fiscal policy activities of the EU institutions at a national level are not included in the government sector account.

These national public finance statistics contain data on the budgetary developments of central, state and local government, the social security funds and general government according to the definition in the German public finance statistics, which is largely based on transactions booked in the budgets.

The validation of account numbers using the check-digit method promotes the smooth and automated settlement of payments. A transferring payment service provider or a first collecting institution must therefore check the accuracy of the payees' or payers' account numbers.
