Luis berichtet von seinem dreimonatigen Praktikum bei der Deutschen Bundesbank, von spannenden Projekten rund um Diversity und interne Kommunikation und davon, wie er eigene Ideen einbringen und Verantwortung übernehmen konnte.

In Q2 2026, 72 % of firms expected rising energy costs over the next 12 months, compared with 60% in the previous quarter. 29% of firms anticipated a deterioration in access to intermediate inputs, which corresponds to an increase of 10 percentage points. A comparable rise in negative expectations was last observed in this study during the coronavirus pandemic and after Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine. 

The increase in short-term inflation expectations to 3.6 % in April 2026 (March: 3.2 %) receded in part over the remainder of Q2, with inflation expectations standing at 3.2 % in June. Medium-term inflation expectations for the three-year horizon followed a similar path, falling from 3.3 % in April to 3.0 % in June following a short-term increase. For the five-year horizon, expectations stood at 3.2 % in April and fell only marginally to 3.1 % by June.

In Q2 2026, the share of firms reporting that they had conducted loan negotiations in the respective quarter prior to the survey period increased slightly (Q2 2026: 15.0 %, compared with Q1 2026: 14.7 %). 

Die Bruttoemissionen am deutschen Rentenmarkt lagen im Juni 2026 mit 133,5 Mrd € leicht unter dem Wert des Vormonats (134,5 Mrd €). Nach Abzug der Tilgungen und unter Berücksichtigung der Eigenbestandsveränderungen der Emittenten stieg der Umlauf heimischer Rentenwerte um 14,4 Mrd €.

Die Leistungsbilanz des Euroraums wies im Juni 2026 einen Überschuss von 35 Mrd. € auf, was einer Zunahme um 9 Mrd. € gegenüber dem Vormonat entspricht.
