From 30 January 2015, the German Federal government will issue a german €2 commemorative coins collector’s coin for Hesse with St. Pauls Church in Frankfurt. The mint condition coins can be purchased at all Bundesbank branches as they become available.

BaFin and Deutsche Bundesbank are putting their joint consultation paper “Machine Learning in Risk Models – Characteristics and Supervisory Priorities” out for consultation. It deals with the concrete use of machine learning (ML) in risk models of Pillars I and II of the regulatory framework for banks and insurers.

In the second quarter of 2025, the German net international investment position (i.i.p.) decreased by €78 billion to €3.3 trillion; that equates to 76 % of gross domestic product (GDP). German claims on non-residents now stand at €13.9 trillion. This compares to German liabilities amounting to €10.5 trillion.

The statistical series have been published since April 2020 and replace the Statistical Supplements as well as the data-related Special Statistical Publications. They contain compilations of tables and charts depicting important specialist statistics.
