Internship in the field of system-wide stress testing

Our Directorate General Financial Stability is currently looking for a motivated and suitably qualified student to take up a paid internship in the field of system-wide stress testing.

Valuable work: your role with us

  • You will support us to develop an integrated, cross-sector stress test model. You model contagion effects between banks, investment funds and insurance companies.
  • You will support us in merging microdata for German banks, investment funds and insurance companies
  • You will support us in implementation of the model in Python

Unique assets: your skills and qualifications

  • Students in computer science, (business) mathematics, statistics, data science, or similar in their fourth semester or later
  • Very good knowledge of Python, in particular in object-oriented programming
  • Experience in the use of Python-API PySpark
  • Knowledge in R desired
  • Experience in working with databases and good knowledge in SQL
