The German government has decided to mint a €5 collectors’ coin entitled “Banded demoiselle”, to be issed at 9 November 2023. It is the fifth coin issued as part of the “Wonderful world of insects” series, which will see a total of nine coins with partially coloured motifs issued from 2022 to 2024.

The Council of the European Union has appointed Claudia Buch as Chair of the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM) of the European Central Bank (ECB). “I would like to thank the Council of the European Union for my appointment as Chair of the Supervisory Board and for the trust placed in me.  It will be a great honour for me to take on this role at the European Central Bank, Ms Buch said. The German government has decided to mint an €11 collectors’ coin entitled “UEFA European Football Championship 2024,” scheduled for issue on 8 May 2024. The coin features one of the world’s most popular major sporting events, the European Football Championship, which will be held in the Federal Republic of Germany in 2024, for the first time since Germany’s reunification.
