The risks to the German financial system have increased, as reported in the Bundesbank’s latest Financial Stability Review. The German economy is faced with structural challenges, and the high valuations in equity and bond markets pose the risk of larger, sudden market price corrections, Bundesbank Executive Board member Michael Theurer said at the presentation of the Financial Stability Review in Frankfurt.

Kreditbedingungen in der Zeit von Juni 2025 bis August 2025 insgesamt weitgehend unverändert geblieben; vereinzelt kam es aufgrund der vorhandenen Bilanzkapazität zu Verschärfungen.

Die Erwartungen zur Gesamtinflation wurden für 2025 leicht nach oben korrigiert; Grund hierfür waren vor allem neu verfügbare Daten. Die Erwartungen für die darauffolgenden Jahre blieben unverändert. Die Inflation liegt weiterhin in der Nähe des mittelfristigen Zielwerts von 2 Prozent, und die Beurteilung der Inflationsaussichten durch den EZB-Rat ist weitgehend unverändert. Die Wirtschaft ist trotz des schwierigen weltweiten Umfelds weiter gewachsen.
