Eine neue Studie untersucht, wie sich der demografische Wandel auf Arbeitsangebot und Wirtschaftswachstum auswirkt. Sie zeigt auf, welche Potenziale bei Erwerbsbeteiligung, Arbeitszeit und Zuwanderung bestehen, um die wirtschaftlichen Folgen der Alterung abzumildern, und diskutiert politische Maßnahmen, die dazu beitragen könnten, diese auszuschöpfen.

The labour cost index measures developments in labour costs per man-hour worked and is harmonised across Europe. It indicates from a cost perspective the risks to price stability and contributes to the location and competition analyses in a European comparison.

The customer classification is made available to institutions subject to reporting requirements which have to classify economic agents by sector for Bundesbank statistics. For this purpose a sectoral breakdown with explanations is published in the Special Statistical Publication 1 which corresponds to the classification used in the "European System of Accounts (ESA 95)".
