Current information on special drawing rights
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved an extremely large general allocation of special drawing rights (SDRs) to its member states. The new allocation triples the total stock of SDRs to a new level of roughly SDR 660 billion. Germany is set to receive around €30 billion worth of additional SDRs.

Banking Supervision
A well functioning economy requires a stable banking system. Banking supervision is therefore responsible for monitoring credit institutions’ business activity and maintaining investor confidence. In Germany, the task of banking supervision is shared by the Bundesbank and the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin). In particular, the Bundesbank is in charge of monitoring the credit institutions.

Am deutschen Aktienmarkt wurden im Berichtsmonat neue Aktien für 5,1 Mrd € begeben. Der Umlauf ausländischer Aktien in Deutschland stieg um 4,1 Mrd €. Erworben wurden Dividendenwerte im Juni im Ergebnis durch inländische Nichtbanken (8,6 Mrd €) und heimische Kreditinstitute (2,0 Mrd €). Ausländische Investoren trennten sich hingegen per saldo von hiesigen Dividendenwerten (1,4 Mrd €).
