Der Median der Wahrnehmung der Verbraucherinnen und Verbraucher bezüglich der Inflation in den vergangenen zwölf Monaten sowie die Mediane ihrer Erwartungen bezüglich der Inflation in den kommenden zwölf Monaten und in drei Jahren verringerten sich.

Die Jahreswachstumsrate der weit gefassten Geldmenge M3 erhöhte sich im September 2024 auf 3,2 % nach 2,9 % im August.

Bei der Jahrestagung des Internationalen Währungsfonds (IWF) und der Weltbank hat Bundesbankpräsident Joachim Nagel über die Herausforderungen des angespannten geopolitischen Umfelds gesprochen. Übereinstimmende Analysen und Studien zeigten, dass mehr Zölle, mehr handelspolitische Unsicherheit zu spürbar weniger globalem Wachstum führen. Auch die deutsche Konjunktur war Thema in Washington.

Die Finanzsanktionen angesichts der Lage in Nicaragua dienen der Durchführung von Maßnahmen der Europäischen Union.

Johannes ist Teil des Teams der Bankenaufsicht in der Hauptverwaltung Bayern, wo er sich um die Stabilität der Genossenschaftsbanken kümmert. Er arbeitet drei Tage die Woche und kann dank Telearbeit seine Zeit gut zwischen seiner Tätigkeit bei der Bundesbank und seiner Arbeit als Landwirt aufteilen.

Private Haushalte haben oft andere Inflationserwartungen als die offiziell erfassten Inflationsraten. Was das für die Kommunikation und Geldpolitik von Zentralbanken bedeutet, diskutierte er im Anschluss mit Bundesbankpräsident Joachim Nagel. Moderiert wurde die Veranstaltung von Falko Fecht, Leiter des Forschungszentrums der Bundesbank.

According to the current issue of the Bundesbank’s Monthly Report, real gross domestic product (GDP) is likely to have contracted again somewhat in the third quarter of 2024. Output in the industrial sector and in construction is expected to have declined markedly. Despite favourable conditions, private consumption probably likewise provided only little impetus.

The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision’s Basel III monitoring exercise started studying the impact of the capital requirements and new liquidity standards on selected banks in 2011. It is conducted semi-annually at the end of December and at the end of June.

French economist Nicolas Véron and Bundesbank President Joachim Nagel call for the banking union to be completed. Writing in Politico Magazine, they argue that the issues of crisis management, deposit insurance and banks’ sovereign exposures are intertwined. 

The German Panel on Household Finances (PHF) is a panel survey on household finance and wealth in Germany, covering the balance sheet, pension, income, work life and other demographic characteristics of private households living in Germany. The panel survey is conducted by the Research Centre of the Deutsche Bundesbank.

A joint initiative by companies and institutions based in and around Frankfurt’s Bahnhofsviertel – the district surrounding its central railway station – intends to help improve the difficult situation in the area. Known as the BHV corporate initiative (BHV being an acronym for Bahnhofsviertel), it aims to make a positive contribution to the district and support selected social projects through constructive dialogue with the city.
