Am 1. Oktober 2025 erließ der EZB-Rat den Beschluss EZB/2025/30 zur Änderung des Beschlusses (EU) 2016/948 zur Umsetzung des Programms zum Ankauf von Wertpapieren des Unternehmenssektors (EZB/2016/16). Trotz widriger Umstände blieb das reale Bruttoinlandsprodukt Deutschlands im dritten Quartal 2025 unverändert gegenüber dem Vorquartal, heißt es im Monatsbericht. Am Arbeitsmarkt ist auch in den kommenden Monaten keine Verbesserung in Sicht. Die Inflationsrate lag weiterhin etwas oberhalb von 2 Prozent. Für das Schlussquartal rechnen die Fachleute mit einem leichten Anstieg der Wirtschaftsleistung.

Die Deutsche Bundesbank und die Deutsche Kreditwirtschaft werden das Einzugsverfahren für inländische Schecks zum Jahresende 2027 einstellen. Grund hierfür ist, dass Schecks im Inlandszahlungsverkehr kaum noch genutzt werden.

Im September 2025 wies die Leistungsbilanz einen Überschuss von 23 Mrd € auf (nach 22 Mrd € im Vormonat).
